Tabligh is the most important project for the Shias, without Tabligh our path will be doomed to perish, echoing “Every land is Karbala and every day is Ashura” we must wake up to stand for this noble cause.

Zanzibar historically was a gate way for foreign immigration from Arabia, Persia and India sub-continent and even far east Asia and Europe, thus it has a unique heritage in terms of culture and religious values and cosmopolitan life.

There were thousands of Shias in Zanzibar, the Shias from Bahrain, Iran and India played greatest social and economic as well as political role in Zanzibar however the 1964 revolution and its aftermath cause many Shias to immigrate to other countries such as UK, US and Canada.

This mass immigration effected the existence of Shias and their heritage in such away many Shia mosques and their properties were confiscated and end up in the hands of either the Sunnis or taken by the Government. In all, we can say that there is a need to bring back our presence in Zanzibar, and this through Tabligh, Humanitarian activities, Relief programs and Education.

Christians and the Wahabis are flooding Zanzibar with institutions and doing humanitarian services resulting Muslims to be converted to Christianity and Wahabism.

Jannatu Zahraa project will return the Glory of the Shia and their heritage in Zanzibar and counter the Wahabi Propaganda against the path of Ahlulbayt (a.s) through Education, Medical services and Humanitarian services to eternalise the path of Ahlulbayt (a.s) in Zanzibar, The Shia have done much in Tanzania through WHIPAS, Bilal Muslim Mission and other strong Individuals such as Haji Ghulamhussein of Arusha, but locating this project in Zanzibar shall be of Unique value for the revival of the school of Ahlulbayt and retain our past Glory by the Grace of Allah and the baraka of our holy Imams.
